The Synoptic Concordance At a Glance

The following picture was scanned from the introduction to the Synoptic Concordance where one will find more details and information about the special features of this new tool for Synoptic studies.

A note to the statistical code: The three digits stand for Matthew, Mark, Luke (in this sequence). The digit "0" indicates: no parallel. The digit "1" indicates: the parallel does not contain the key word. The digit "2" indicates: the parallel contains the key word. E.g., 211 at Mt 3,2/Mk 1,4/Lk 3,3: Matthew's verse contains the key word, the parallel verses in Mark and Luke do not contain the key word. 202 at Mt 4,8/Lk 4,5: Matthew as well as Luke have the key word. Mark has no parallel ("0" at the second, i.e., Markan digit).
